Summary: After a recap of the lessons so far, Joe directs the audience to consider lesson 6 in our summer series, the eyes of an encourager. He reminds us of the incredible value of our eyesight, speaking of his own narrow escape from blindness and remarking on two of our own members who are now faced with greatly reduced vision. For Christians, the analogy of vision with spiritual awareness and insight is key. There are spiritual eye diseases to avoid as well as goals to seek. We want to be able to see the glory in the ordinary, the look with caring and compassion. If we practice encouragement, we can be like “corrective lenses” for others
