    Summary: Israel had been in captivity for 70 years. Nehemiah received word about the status of Jerusalem and the wall. The news was grim – – it was destroyed and burned. He had a dream to rebuild the walls and prayed to God about the idea. When we have an idea, making it a reality has a cost. You must commit, sacrifice, and persevere. In the process of building the wall, Nehemiah faced discouragement. In face of our own discouragement, we must pray for God to send encouragement. All encouragement begins with compassion. Making a dream become a reality requires determination. We must turn impediments into answers. Pray over this. Also, dreams often require risks; dreams are for the brave. To make our dreams become reality is, we must problem solve. To counter discouragement, we must look beyond the rubble. In crisis and fearful times, leaders must use their faith
